Richmond General Hospital Emergency and Diagnostic Imaging

Major structural alteration work had to be coordinated to accommodate the operating hospital environment. Dust control, infection control, and noise mitigation were major risk issues that were carefully managed. Mechanical and electrical systems were expanded and joined to existing services with no interruption to plant operations. The coordination of work activities involved daily coordination and communications between the hospital staff, the design team, and Bird Construction.
