The schools feature a 4,000 square foot atrium that serves as the primary entry point and clerestory windows around the atrium that allow an abundance of natural light to flow in throughout the day.

Faced with the challenge of an aggressive delivery schedule, Bird relied on its depth of experience in developing design solutions that increased the projects’ constructability and helped to fast track the schools construction. By establishing a detailed critical path schedule at the beginning of the project with added input from the New Brunswick Department of Education and other relevant stakeholders, Bird was able to expedite a phased schedule with a reduced timeline. A sequential tendering of the subtrades advanced the start of construction, further reducing the schedule duration.
