Major work included over 6,000 cubic metres of soil excavation to facilitate installation of 260 micropiles to bedrock, with an average depth of 80’ to bedrock. 5.5' micropile casings were employed in this particular application.

Some electrical grounding work was performed in concert with concrete installation to support future building and equipment requirements, as well as under slab drainage and buried services work (natural gas tie-ins, sanitary sewer piping, storm drainage, and a fire water main) to be tied into existing Vale systems. At project completion, approximately 2,000 cubic metres of concrete will be poured.
